- sizes of unit flanges can be changed according to the customers requirements;
- shaft circumferential velocity is up to 15 m/s;
- uppr operational temperature is 1200 C;
- working pressure is up to 3 atm.
The seal have the shape of cartridge filled up with biologically neutral silicone ferrofluid FLS 040.040 exposed to sterilization.
Ferrofluid-based seals for small and large shafts diameters are manufactured with accordance to customers technical specifications.
ADVANTAGES OF FERROLABS, INC.' MFS
- manufactured for lab bioreactors/fermenters (with top-mounted drive) with a volume from 0,01 up to 0,02 m3 and for industrial bioreactor/fermenters (with upper drive) with operational volume from 0,025 up to 6 ì3;
- ensure total hermeticity of rotary shaft both in overpressure and underpressure environments;
- ensure sterility, hermeticity and neutrality relative to viruses/cells;
- do not give off wearing products;
- FFS-based systems contribute to higher productive capacity and less number of defective products;
- FFS for shafts whose diameter is more than 40 mm can operate at the radial shaft wobbling up to 0,7 mm;
- MTBF is up to 8 years;
- require no service maintenance and additional expendable materials.
