ALMA Winter Symposium and CES 2007

FerroLabs, Inc attended and exhibited at the ALMA Winter Symposium. ALMA is a not-for-profit trade association solely dedicated to the speaker industry. The nature of ALMA provides an opportunity to meet people from various fields and markets in the speaker industry and a chance to gain an overall understanding of the industry. ALMA is a forum for hundreds of individuals to network, attend standards committees, technical papers, and training and to see the latest products from member exhibitors. The ALMA Symposium also provides a rare opportunity to meet decision makers and leaders in the world of loudspeaker design.
The Loudspeaker 101 course offered at ALMA is a great introduction into the technical aspects of speakers for non-engineers. The course is a solid foundation, providing individuals in sales, marketing, etc. with an excellent tool to provide better service to their clients.
This event resulted in incredible exposure for FerroLabs, Inc. and our LiquidAudio ferrofluid line. Several excellent opportunities were obtained as a direct result of attending and exhibiting at ALMA.
CES is the world?s largest consumer technology tradeshow with 1.8 million square feet of exhibit space. For four days it is home to 2,700 exhibitors and 140,000 attendees from around the world. Some of the biggest names in speakers attend — Polk Audio, Panasonic, Pioneer, JBL, Rockford Corporation, Boston Acoustics, Kicker and Phase Technology — the first company to use ferrofluid in speaker design. In addition to launching new products at CES, many companies meet their clients, distributors and representatives, taking orders right on site. Following the ALMA Symposium, CES is another excellent venue for exposing FerroLabs to numerous clients in the speaker industry.
The reception from both shows was extremely positive and FerroLabs received a significant number of requests for product. |
